AI Governance and Board Leadership — Featured in Director Journal

May 22, 2025 | Insights

The March-April 2025 issue of Director Journal features an interview exploring how boards can approach AI governance with clarity and accountability. Grateful to Jeff Buckstein for crafting such a thoughtful article.

In the article, I emphasize the need for boards to:

  • Undertake dedicated AI training at the board level
  • Define a clear AI strategy and vision for the next two to three years
  • Allocate appropriate resources for ethical and systematic AI deployment

The piece also includes excellent insights from Estelle MetayerJillian Frank, and Carole Piovesan. Together, we emphasize that directors can’t afford to wait for regulation to catch up — the time to act is now.

If you’d like a copy of the article or want to explore how your board can strengthen its AI oversight, feel free to message me.
